This is a membership based program that provide women focused tech communities that aims to empower and inspire women in tech to grow and succeed in Africa.
The program consist of two niche communities centered on Mentorship, Networking, and Promoting Opportunities amongst Women in Tech Africa and Women Founders in Tech Africa.

FLIP’s mission is to drive transformative change by building a vibrant, global community that supports, mentors, and uplifts women, advocating for equitable opportunities and inclusive practices within the tech industry.

Women Professionals In Tech
​Our initiative Women Professionals in Tech Africa (WPTA) fosters a vibrant community that empowers women professionals in African tech, bridging the gender gap, and propelling them towards leadership positions and career development.
Mentor-Mentee Programs: Members are who are in the early or mid level of their careers are paired with senior professionals for career guidance and support.
Membership: Open to Women Professionals who work in code and no code roles such as Software engineering, Product management, UI/UX designers, and business analyst.
Networking Opportunities: Join a vibrant network of professionals and gain access to regular meetups, conferences, and workshops focused on professional development, skill-building, and knowledge sharing.


Women Advocacy: We promote the voices of women leaders in tech and are advocate for innovation, reduced gender bias and barriers faced by women in the workplace.
Access to Resources and Job Opportunities: Leveraging WPTA, you can access materials and resources to deepen your learning and get connected to employers and job prospects in technology in Africa.
Women Founders In Tech Africa
​Our initiative, Women Founders in Tech Africa (WFTA) plays a pivotal role in closing gender gaps and fostering a thriving ecosystem of female entrepreneurs. By providing access to funding opportunities, mentorship, training, networking, and advocacy, the initiative empowers women to lead successful tech startups, drive innovation, and contribute to economic and social development across Africa.
Membership: Open to women entrepreneurs in the tech space across Africa. Membership is tiered, and based on business stage (early-stage, and growth stage) for offer tailored support.
Capacity Building and access to Funding Opportunities: Facilitate connections with investors and provide support with pitch decks, business model development and fundraising strategies. Organize events and share resources to help founders accelerate their tech startup to foster growth.
Community Support and Improved Visibility: We provide a platform for women founders to network with like-minded female entrepreneurs, potential partners, and industry experts, fostering collaboration and increased access to resources and opportunities leveraging events and the program network

How FLIP Tackles the Tech Gender Gap in Africa
​The Female Leadership Initiative Project (FLIP) can address the identified gaps for women in African tech through a multi-pronged approach that tackles representation, access to resources, and creating a supportive network. We will leverage the Women Professionals in Africa and Women Tech Founders in Africa Initiative.

Increase Representation
​FLIP Workshops and mentorship program will inspire more women to pursue leadership roles and entrepreneurial ventures.
Improve access to Resources
FLIP’s community and investor education sessions will make it easier for women to secure funding for their ideas and grow in their careers.
Empowerment through community
​FLIP’s women founders and professionals network will provide the support system women need to overcome challenges and thrive in their careers and startups.

Tech Starter Members

These are Members who are in seeking to start a Career in tech.

These are members who are Founders with their startups in Ideation stage.
Entrepreneur Members

Tier 1: These are members in Pre-seed or seed stage of their startup. Best for earlier stage startups founders.

Tier 2: These are members in Series A+ stage and growth phase stage of their startups. Best for more experienced founders.
Professional Members

Tier 1: These are for members in the early stage of their tech careers (1-5 years of experience).
